All goalkeepers within the TNT Dynamite Soccer Club receive training from Stacy Heller, Club Goalkeeper Coach . Goalies receive instruction on fundamental techniques such as stationary saves, diving, aerial balls, distribution, breakaways, and footwork. Training also is targeted at improving reaction time, communication skills, player psychology and understanding the role and responsibilities of the goalkeeper.
Stacy, a former All-Big Ten women's player and current assistant coach at Michigan State University, has shared her knowledge and experience with the club since the beginning of 2003. Since it was first formed, the club has trained several goalkeepers who have gone on to play college soccer and numerous players have received All-State honors at the high school level while the club has featured six goalies who have played in the Olympic Development Program (ODP).
This page will feature the goalkeeper training schedule for each season. |
