December 1, 2010 -- Tara Lierman Selected for Super Y League ODP National Camp.
TNT U14 Girls Red player Tara Lierman (pictured above, first row second from right) attended the 2010 North American Super Y League National Championships this November with her summer Super Y League team Chicago Fire Juniors – Michigan. The team travelled to Tampa Bay, Florida for the tournament from November 18-23rd. The team earned a spot in the Championship game with a great run through the tournament. The team fell in penalties 5-4 to two time defending champions, Northern Virginia Majestics.
Through her performance at the national tournament Tara has been selected to participate in the Super Y National ODP Camp under the 1996/97 girls age group. Congratulations Tara! Keep up the good work and good luck to you at National ODP Camp.
This camp represents an elite group of players coming together to display their soccer talent and work ethic to collegiate and national team scouts. The ODP focus groups this year will be for the top players (216 Girls & 216 Boys) born in either 1994/1995, or 1996/1997 players. The additional lists showing those players born in 1992 & 1993 are posted to recognize the top players from those birth years. That list will be promoted to over 1,000 colleges as well as to the USSF National Staff or the Canadian Soccer Association.
The combined age groups below represent the top players in the league that have proven their abilities throughout the season and have earned the honor of being named Super Y-League National ODP Players for their respective age groups. This National Select pool will be promoted to over 1000 colleges as well as to the USSF National Staff or the Canadian Soccer Association. Congratulatory letters of this achievement will be sent to each of these players.
